Frontier Filmmaking Training Online
The “Frontier Filmmaking Seminar Online” (FFSO) is an 9-week online seminar to prepare you to create films that communicate the gospel across cultures through skill-building and hands-on practice encouraged in a virtual video classroom. The current FFSO is from 4 March to 6 May 2025. We will be announcing the dates of the next FFSO this summer.

Each week Trainees watch about 3 to 4 hours of training videos online by themselves or with their training team, and then spend another 2 to 4 hours each week doing their assignments alone or together as a training team. It is easier to do the training with a team, but most of the trainees do the training alone and make their video projects with friends or sometimes family members.

Each Trainee will film and edit 3 films using their own Smartphones or cameras during the 8 week training, the first video during the Week 1, the second by Week 4, and the final project by the end of Week 8. If they fall behind in the assignments during the 9-weeks, they can take longer to complete the assignments, or join a second training a few months later.
Here are some of the courses included in the FFSO

Whether you have had experience making videos or movies, or have never held a camera, join us in the FFSO to grow your skills, and be inspired to create videos that communicate good news.
